Die Anforderungen der Bauherren machten neben der denkmalgerechten Sanierung eine umfassende Neustrukturierung Ihres gründerzeitlichen Stadthauses erforderlich. Raumbildende Einbauten multifunktionaler Großmöbel zonieren und verknüpfen die Räume, die durch Öffnungen in der Altbausubstanz entstanden sind:

• Die Treppenbibliothek bildet den Rücken des Wohnzimmers und die Regalbrüstung der Arbeitsempore. Sie verbirgt die Gästetoilette und lädt zum Lesen und Stöbern auf den Stufen ein.
• Der Betteneinbau gibt dem Gästezimmer durch Hoch- und Klappbetten eine flexibel erweiterbare Kapazität, während es im Inneren die Ankleide für das benachbarte Master-Schlafzimmer beherbergt.
• Der GarderobenTrenner separiert den Eingangsbereich mit einer raumhohen integrierten Schiebewand und beherbergt  Stauraum für das Kochhaus. So wurde die Küche genannt, die im Seitenflügel mit Ausblicken in den Garten platziert ist.

Der fugenlose geschliffene Gussasphaltestrich unterstreicht als zeitloser Bodenbelag im Erdgeschoss und den Bädern die neue fließende Raumabfolge.

The requirements of the client made it necessary to restructure their Wilhelminian town house.  Space-forming multifunctional large furniture separate and link the space that has been created through openings in the old building:

• The staircase-library forms the back of the living room and the shelves of the working gallery. It hides the guest toilet and invites you to read on the steps.
• The bed-built-in gives the guest room a flexibly expandable capacity with loft beds and folding beds, while inside it houses the dressing room for the adjoining master bedroom.
• The cloakroom-divider separates the entrance area with a floor-to-ceiling, integrated sliding wall and provides storage space for the cookhouse. This is how we named the kitchen, which is placed in the small side wing with views into the garden.

The seamless, sanded mastic asphalt screed underlines the new flowing sequence of rooms as a timeless floor covering on the ground floor and the bathrooms.
